Back in late 2009, the community planned to be called Canton Street Commons, was announced to be built by Peachtree Properties located off of Canton Street in the City of Alpharetta.
Homes that are currently there, and boarded up, were to removed by now, but it looks like soon the action will occur.
Canton Street Commons will consist of 30 townhomes and manor homes and located on this 4 acre porperty. These townhomes are plannng to be 2 story and not 3 story in size. Some will even have master on the main.
The townhomes of Canton Street Commons will have Canton Street Frontage and will have the 3 story attached variety to maintain the look and feel of the Alpharetta Downhomes Master Plan.
The City of Alpharetta granted and is allowing private streets in the interior of the community. This would mean the streets belong to the community and not the City. At this time is is not decided if there will be public transportation access.
Building has not begun as of yet, but as of June 2011, there appears to be some action toward the constuction and developement of Canton Street Commons and as soon I can provide photos, I will update all.
